Eastbound and there is no comfort in this, in three parts

I.

I miss the days before the turning point of the year
when the sky flamed vermilion as I went into it
not blinding, but seething with the quiet fury of dawn.
I miss the days when we had hope.

 II.

We spend all our time hoping for tragedy, and we can’t see the dawn without looking for sunset
because we just can’t stand the light.
It’s true what they say; this lightness is unbearable.

 III.

Because a lake’s just the opposite of a mountain
all filled up and choked with water.
Nobody likes the feeling of absence.

Mount Eerie - O My Heart (by EveningHymns)

what I find
will be found easily
and only when I’m not looking for it
without looking for the morning
in the sunset
and it’s like this
and my will to live
hides implied
in my heart beating
without looking for fufillment
but just accepting it

oh whats this
is this my heart
and is it thumping?
oh my heart
oh there you are
I stopped hunting
I thought you would be as big as a whale
my nets were knit
my heart burns on
I had my ship sailed
and oh my heart
there you are
mouse nest in my hair
and oh my heart
stowed away
I stopped looking

oh sleepy heart
what do you say?
should we keep thumping?

Gotye - Smoke And Mirrors (by gotyemusic)

You’re a fraud and you know it
But it’s too good to throw it all away
Anyone would do the same
You’ve got ‘em going
And you’re careful not to show it
Sometimes you even fool yourself a bit
It’s like magic
But it’s always been a smoke and mirrors game
Anyone would do the same
